  • Place a warning triangle 100m behind the vehicle
  • Wear a fluorescent and reflective vest
  • Turn on hazard lights
  • Call for assistance – use a phone marked with an SOS sign on the motorway: you just need to push the red button and the phone will put you through to the Motorway Management Centre, at the same time sending out information on your location. If there is no phone of this kind on the road on which the breakdown has occurred, call the emergency number 112
